Best off the bench: Breaking down the top reserve squads

A great bench doesn't necessarily mean a team will win a championship, but how much can a weak bench hurt? Maybe the NEMCO Warriors are about to find out.

After loosing two members of the starting five this year, the Warriors had little else to shore up the bench. Most of the Warriors reserves are new players  or are too big to get a read on. Does this mean Warriors must play Rams Ugay, John Lord Toring, Reymond Lopez, Gerald Marquez and Nikki Labesores until they pass out from exhaustion? Perhaps the Warrior's second unit will pull a surprise or two, but it's safe to say there's a big difference between the starters and reserves.

That's not necessarily the case with the other contenders, Warriors have a significant edge on the other teams reserved.

Depth of the Bench:

Guards:
  1. JOBERT LOPEZ
  2. JOWIE RENDON
  3. ARESTIS ECHIN
  4. YNGWIE ECLEO
  5. REYNOLD BALESCO
Forwards:
  1. RICHARD AMAR
  2. EUSTAQUIO ALABA
  3. CLYDE MACEREN
Centers:
  1. FRANCIS URBIZTONDO
  2. RICHARD LUMPAY
  3. ANDRO HIBAYA
Coach Mondano says that he is blessed to have a fast, smart, and talented bench this year. Lack of height is another factor for the Warriors this year.
“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is what others think you are."
